Thank you for your tip: Indeed without capitalize extension name, xorg was throwing an error about no such extension. I only want to finally confirm that the bug which I reported here was fixed with upstream commit: https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/commit/?id=1326ee0bc5eb858c3c00847b3ba65134e4ca2e2d I had to manually apply this commit on top of 2:1.19.6-1, because every newer debian xorg release is crashing during startup (probably something is wrong in nouveau driver according to backtrace), but this seems totally another and not related bug. Anyway - this bug is now fixed, so please close it. :-) Thank you! ps.
