The biggest change between those revisions is the new upstream xorg-server release 1.19.6. It's most likely a bug introduced with the new upstream release. There's only one newly added Debian-only patch (07-glx-do-not-pick-srgb-config-for-32bit-rgba-visual.diff). All the other changes documented in debian/changelog are packaging related changes. You could try to disable this patch by commenting the patch in the debian/patches/series file and rebuilding xorg-server. Though I don't think your issue is caused by this patch.
