@Jörg-Volker Peetz: can you please confirm this is fixed in mesa-vdpau-drivers 13.0.2-3 ?
I use an onboard GPU Radeon 4290 which is almost the same model. I can't playback accelerated mpeg-2 with vlc - output is garbled in a similar way than you described, h.264 works fine. I'm sending a BC to the OP. Bug #847012 might be a duplicate, if the OP there uses an ATI GPU as well. Regards, Tuxo
