Package: xorg Version: 1:7.7+16 So for some months now, I think, I've found that given two X sessions on different VTs, occasionally when switching between them, the session I switched to would become unresponsive to the external (USB) keyboard and mouse, and the only way I was able to restore access was to log completely out of X completely and back in. The consoles themselves appeared to be unaffected. So I poked at the problem a a bit, and looked around for similar reports, but hadn't found anything I thought might be useful until now. Now I suspect this might describe the issue, and a fix:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97880 I don't know if it'd be plausible to include that in Debian right now, nor if it actually addresses my problem, but I'd certainly be happy to stop having to log out regularly. And I'm not sure I've built xorg in a long time (if ever), but if I manage to to try the patches myself, I'll post an update.
