As Daniel said, it's nowhere near ready, and he's right that we are *way* too far behind in getting X.Org in to Debian and available to our users. If the modular tree was anywhere near a point where I could start packaging it (rather than doing the actual work of modularization, which I'm not comfortable doing yet) I'd be gunning for that. You can blame the delays with X.Org entirely on me, since I'm stumbling around like an idiot, trying to learn the ropes. The packaging audit was as much a political move to make everyone happy as it was a chance for me to learn more about what I'm going to be maintaining. Daniel and Branden have both been enormously helpful in that. I share Daniel's goal to have a unified set of X packages for Debian and Ubuntu (and, for that matter, all other Debian-derived distros) but I want to put in the work so we can catch up now before pushing ahead.
