Hi, Sorry to bump this, but I'm starting to get GPU hangs every couple of days which cause X to restart, killing all my desktop applications without warning. As you can imagine, I would really like this to not happen.
I can't say that this behavior is related to the fact that xserver-xorg-video-intel is really old in sid. But when one is having issues with a >6-month-old kernel module being loaded in a 12-day-old kernel (sid is currently on 3.14.7 which was released on June 11 according to http://kernel.org/ ), that's the obvious first suspect...
