Unfortunately, after the reboot of the machine, the bug occurs again.

Note: when doing the test above, I killed the compositor first
(compton), and I did the following two tests:
  * running the script for this bug 640464;
  * resizing an Emacs window.
Both didn't show any bug (resizing a window is affected by bug 727549
when compton is running, so that if I get resize information, this
means compton was no longer running, i.e. it was really killed).
I can't reproduce this behavior.
