Alex Deucher, I have an AMD Radeon HD 6470M but I can't select which card I want to use in the BIOS setup.
How do I know if my GPU display is MUXes or MUX-less? I've tried to select the discrete card using vgaswitcheroo but i get a black screen and the computer crashes. # lspci -v 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc NI Seymour00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Dell Device 04ca Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 54 Memory at f6400000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4M] Memory at d0000000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M] I/O ports at f000 [size=64] Expansion ROM at <unassigned> [disabled] Capabilities: [90] MSI: Enable+ Count=1/1 Maskable- 64bit- Capabilities: [d0] Power Management version 2 Capabilities: [a4] PCI Advanced Features Kernel driver in use: i915 [AMD Radeon HD 6470M] (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Dell Device 04ca Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 56 Memory at e0000000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M] Memory at f7b20000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=128K] I/O ports at e000 [size=256] Expansion ROM at f7b00000 [disabled] [size=128K] Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 3 Capabilities: [58] Express Legacy Endpoint, MSI 00 Capabilities: [a0] MSI: Enable+ Count=1/1 Maskable- 64bit+ Capabilities: [100] Vendor Specific Information: ID=0001 Rev=1 Len=010 <?> Capabilities: [150] Advanced Error Reporting Kernel driver in use: radeon # uname -a Linux willian 3.0.0-1-amd64 #1 SMP Wed Aug 17 04:08:52 UTC 2011 x86_64 GNU/Linux Thank you very much. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-x-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
