I recently uploaded 1.4.1-1 to sid, please try that version, and open a bug upstream if you're still having issues: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/ (xorg, Driver/synaptics) and let us know the bug number. A new stable release (1.10.x) of the server is pending, with a few input related fixes. I could help you try that, if you wish. Mraw, KiBi.
