kde 3.3.2 source /etc/X11/Xsession (/etc/kde3/kdm/Xsession). Also ssh-agent is started via /etc/X11/Xsession.d/ files which are sourced by every Xsession (eg. gdm whihc does not /etc/X11/Xsession) at least since a few monthes.
