Yes,

For my amd server I have downloaded the netinstall iso, but not yet
installed, will do this asap,

debian-6.0.0-i386-netinst.iso

debian-6.0.0-amd64-netinst.iso

For my iMac ppc I have tried with latest ubuntu, no worry I will not
switch to ubuntu, after some initial warnings, ubuntu started the xserver

Ubuntu is running in low graphics mode

The following error was encountered. You may need

to update your configuration to solve this.

(EE) unable to find a valid framebuffer device
(EE) R128(0): failed to open framebuffer device,
consult warnings and/or errors above for possible reasons
(EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration

__OK__

but there was some issues after this one, I selected the low graphics
mode and ubuntu 10.04 LTS (long term Support) now runs.

ToDo for morten:

I will go for this one

for troubleshooting I will be able to try with ubuntu,

My targeted systems are debian and NetBSD for macppc.

on Ubuntu now, I can see as attached. Gnome works, gui runs, firefox
runs, ftp server runs, exept the framebuffer annoyances, it seems to be
a stable and in good health piece of macppc hardware.

I have not sendt any of these to the ubuntu team, I hope we could reach
this far with debian.
