could you try dumping a core?
  http://pkg-xorg.alioth.debian.org/howto/use-gdb.html

If you have some git/package building knowledge, you could try merging
the upstream master branch in the debian-unstable one in our repository,
and give it a try. We have no doc to do so yet, but hopefully that
might happen soon. You might want to check what happens with 2.6.38rc*
(from experimental).

The only rotate-related bug I saw on Driver/Radeon is:
  https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21128

The only rotate-related commit I see in master (not in 6.14.0) is:
  kms: fix rotate pitch align

Which might not be your bug.

Please let us know if you can grab some info from a possible core;
once that's done, the probable best course of action is reporting a
bug upstream with those info:
  http://bugs.freedesktop.org product xorg, component Driver/Radeon

KiBi.
