My random freezing problems have been solved. Here is what I did to fix the problem 1. Ran memtest86+ through GRUB and it kept freezing on tests for the 1st pass. 2. In the BIOS I changed the DRAM Frequency from the default Auto/533MHz to 400MHz. 3. Ran memtest86+ and after several hours of running multiple passes all tests passed succesfully. 4. The PC and Debian has been rock solid stable ever since.
The PC is running: Mainboard - ASUS P5VDC-MX (Bios Version 0809) CPU - Pentium D OS - Debian Squeeze Thanks Ibaidul -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-x-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
