When using two-finger scrolling, you have to be very precise to remove both
fingers from the touchpad at the same time once you're
done scrolling. If there is a noticeable interval between removing the fingers,
the touchpad sends a bunch of scrolling events,
resulting in the document being scrolled away from your carefully chosen
position.

Closing this bug then, thanks for the quick follow-up.
As for multitouch, that's a feature currently being worked on, see
XI2.1 upstream (IIRC) for more info.
