Either you wait for it to be packaged, or you submit patches to make it happen sooner. That's about keeping room to put packages for users to test; that's why -video-intel in experimental isn't built against X Server 1.9, yet; that's not being incompatible. IOW that's what I suspected from your subject: you got it wrong.
