I got the latest linux-source 2.6.32 from sid and rebuilt my kernel. I removed my /etc/modprobe.d/radeon-kms.conf which had options radeon modeset=0. I can boot with the kernel and X seems to be fine. When I look in Xorg.0.log I see the following line:
[KMS] drm report modesetting isn't supported. So, I'm not sure if KMS is being used or not. I am on the current squeeze version of xserver-xorg-video-radeon(1:6.13.1-2) Brent On Fri, 2010-10-01 at 01:22 +0200, Cyril Brulebois wrote: > Wendy Elmer <webe...@aim.com> (30/09/2010): > > There are no kernel-sources > 2.6.32 in sid which Brice says I need. > > No. Brice told you the package name you're looking for, and they've > been in sid for weeks.
