Hello, I've got a weird problem while trying to set 3D hardware acceleration with X and a Voodoo5 card. I managed to get all this working several months ago without a glitch.
With X from sid (4.2.1-11 from my memory) I've got a line like this in the output: Skipping "/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libGLcore.a:m_debug_xform.o": No symbols found glxinfo says me that I have no direct rendering: is this caused by the previous error ? Is glx module loading aborted ? I decided to give a try with the experimental X packages (4.3.0-0pre1v1) and the problem is even worse: there are 4 missing symbols: /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libGLcore.a:m_debug_clip.o /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libGLcore.a:m_debug_norm.o /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libGLcore.a:m_debug_xform.o /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libGLcore.a:m_debug_vertex.o Here are usefull informations: System is an up-to-date sid on an Athlon XP system, with a Voodoo5 card. DRI and tdfx DRM is built in the kernel; tdfx module is loaded.
