Um, I offered you the full output of svn on IRC (OFTC, not OPN - I pointed you to OFTC), and got abuse in return. But whichever way you want to paint it, yeah, that's cool. The fact I probably wasn't there to help you work it out may have something to do with it, but last I saw, there was a very triumphial message on how you had the permissions right, but ownership wrong. > The repo is working again for all three of us, plus a dummy user I > created for testing purposes. > > Your mileage may vary, and if it doesn't I expect you'll conflate your > problems with the previous ones, as you just did. I cannot access the repo. It says "permission denied". I am running Subversion 0.29.0-1. Seeing as I cannot access necrotic to see what's going on, do you feel like working it out, or should I just give up and start patchbombing the list again? > > Please fix this error, whatever it is, so others can continue committing to the > > repository. > > I needed assistance diagnosing it, and testing various solutions > (unfortunately, the ultimate fix proved to be elusive; despite my > efforts to be careful, which were documented on IRC, I was unable to pin > down the exact cause of the problem), which you were unwilling to give, > preferring to vent your spleen instead. 22:05 < DanielS> Overfiend: the. repository. is. still. stuffed. 22:05 < DanielS> Overfiend: 15:45 < wt> svn: No repository found in 'svn+ssh://necrotic/var/lib/svn/xfree86/branches/4.3.0' 22:05 < DanielS> 15:47 < wt> Permission denied 22:05 < DanielS> and I'm still having issues 22:05 < DanielS> feel free to claim said issues don't exist 22:07 < DanielS> svn, version 0.29.0 (r6976) 22:07 < DanielS> compiled Sep 9 2003, 10:42:42 22:08 < DanielS> svn: Berkeley DB error while opening environment for filesystem /var/lib/svn/xfree86/db: 22:08 < DanielS> Permission denied That was after: 10:30 < DanielS> svn: Berkeley DB error 10:30 < DanielS> svn: Berkeley DB error while opening environment for filesystem /var/lib/svn/xfree86/db: 10:30 < DanielS> Permission denied Which was 48 hours ago now almost to the minute. > If working conditions with the XSF SVN repo are unacceptable to you, you > have other options. Well, it's kind of difficult to actually work at all when I can't actually access the repo.
