Funny - I can reproduce this too.
ii xserver-xfree86 4.3.0-0.nobse.5 the XFree86 X server
The buttons of the laptop touchpad (access via psaux) remapped, however
the buttons of the attached USB mouse are not.
IMO this is a warm bug and will become hot when the package enters Sid.
