I need to amend my post of yesterday. The maxtor hard drive was the cause of the hang-up during reboot of the original computer. When I connected another drive to the controller, the computer booted without errors, and X started without errors. I have since spent almost a day trying alternate ways to reproduce the problem but cannot. Having successfully installed version 4.2 by temporarily disabling raid, I don't know how to bring back the errors. I am sorry but have tried everything I could think of. -- Bob Parnes [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
