It seems it doesn't find some font or size. In Mozilla, for example, only menu, url bar, and status bar fonts looks bad. The html panel looks ok, as it was before. I tried changing fonts in the KDE Control Panel, but does affect to Mozilla and xmms. I am using Arial (msttcorefonts) as default. Tried also other fonts. I've antialiasing enabled. The paths in XF86Config and XftConfig are as follow: FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType/" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/:unscaled" FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc/:unscaled" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/defoma/CID" FontPath "/var/lib/defoma/x-ttcidfont-conf.d/dirs/CID" FontPath "/var/lib/defoma/x-ttcidfont-conf.d/dirs/TrueType" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1/" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo/" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/encoding/" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi" FontPath "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc" dir "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1" dir "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType" dir "/var/lib/defoma/x-ttcidfont-conf.d/dirs/TrueType" dir "/usr/share/AbiSuite/fonts" dir "/usr/share/AbiSuite/fonts/ISO-8859-15" Regards, -- System Information Debian Release: 3.0 Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux antoli 2.4.18 #1 Tue Apr 2 02:44:27 CEST 2002 i686 Locale: LANG=es_ES, LC_CTYPE=es_ES Versions of packages xfree86-common depends on: ii debianutils 1.16 Miscellaneous utilities specific t --------------------------------------- Received: (at 141332-done) by bugs.debian.org; 10 Mar 2003 20:10:14 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Mar 10 14:10:14 2003 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from dhcp16621067.indy.rr.com (redwald.deadbeast.net) [24.166.21.67] by master.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.12 1 (Debian)) id 18sTbB-0001Ig-00; Mon, 10 Mar 2003 14:10:14 -0600 Received: by redwald.deadbeast.net (Postfix, from userid 1000) id 3D39E640C1; Mon, 10 Mar 2003 15:10:13 -0500 (EST) Date: Mon, 10 Mar 2003 15:10:13 -0500 From: Branden Robinson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Bug#141332: xfree86-common: Ugly menu fonts after upgrade Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="fblc08uBQ7kpPybH" Content-Disposition: inline In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.3i Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-4.0 required=4.0 tests=IN_REP_TO,PGP_SIGNATURE_2,QUOTED_EMAIL_TEXT,REFERENCES, SPAM_PHRASE_01_02,USER_AGENT,USER_AGENT_MUTT version=2.44 X-Spam-Level: --fblc08uBQ7kpPybH Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable On Fri, Apr 05, 2002 at 03:28:41PM +0200, Ricardo Galli wrote: > After the upgrade, menu fonts in some non-kde applications (i.e. mozilla, > xmms) looks really ugly. I recommend two things: 1) apt-get install xfonts-base xfonts-100dpi xfonts-75dpi xfonts-scalable 2) consult /usr/share/doc/xfree86-common/README.fonts.gz for more information Closing this (probably) spurious report. --=20 G.
