Package: xserver-xfree86 Version: 4.2.1-6 Severity: important A serious problem of XTT module was found on Linux/PPC architecture. In the case of Linux/PPC, the XFree86 loading "xtt" frequently crashes.
The cause of this crash is that XFree86 loads invaild codeconverter module first due to broken string comparison in xttcconv.c Although this problem did not occur in Linux/i386, it may be only fortune. The valid codeconverter module by chance was listed by the head.
