Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to drop the patch. David Dawes told me in private mail he'd be working on an alternate fix, because the patch looked fishy to him. This may even already be fixed in CVS; David has been working pretty hard on the i810 driver since patch #009 was added. -- G.
