This is likely either bash's fault, as another person pointed out (upgrade to bash 2.05b-5), or some package is violating policy and shipping /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults. The error message asks you to mail the debian-x list, not file a bug, because it is often hard to tell exactly what is reponsible for these errors. Closing this bug. --=20 G.
