I installed gdm yesterday and all the fonts are much smaller. It's only the fonts that are smaller.
If I start in a different runlevel that doesn't have gdm, and then I just run startx fonts are fine. So I suppose it's how X is being started when I use gdm. My goal is to be able to figure these things out on my own -- eventually -- but I don't understand the process of how X is started (for the two methods) so that I can compare them. Pointers, tips?
