dpkg is choking on xlibs_4.0.2-1:

I have no idea how to begin to debug this. I did notice a previous poster on this
list with a very similar problem, but the fix suggested (deleting symlink from
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults) did not work for me.
