Please do the following:
Try using the "dexter" tool to generate an XF86Config-4 that works.
If that fails, send the output of the X server log (when using the
dexter-generated config file), a copy of your XF86Config-4, and the output
of "/sbin/lspci -v | grep VGA" to this mailing list.
