Mike, there sure is. I'm using an s3virge card.  As far as I could
tell, you can use the s3virge driver for the s3trio chip. You may need to
disable some acceleration to prevent lockups. Just do "strings
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/libxaa.so | grep XaaNo | grep ExpandFill" to get
the options to put into your Devices section of /etc/X11/XF86Config:

Section "Devices"
        ...
        Driver "s3virge"
        Option "XaaNo..."
        ...
EndSection

That's how I got my card working. Good luck.
