Package: www.debian.org
Severity: wishlist
Could we have the "To report a problem with the web site..." footer on
every page on www.debian.org? Two arguments for including that footer on
every page:
1. it makes it easiert for people to contribute, to go to Salsa and fix
stuff
2. Debian's web pages get more uniform
a. you change something on one page and have it changed on every page
without work
b. you won't forget to adapt some finge page
c. etc. same argument as for automating stuff actually
On a tangent getting off topic:
I tried to fix this, but:
* it's not trivial
* I could not found out within reasonable time (ca. 20min) how template
X maps to page Y or better yet, how I find out which templates are used
to generate page Y
* -> the build system for www.debian.org is too complicated I think. That
prevents me (and others) from quickly contributing easy and quick
improvements.
Thanks,
*t
