I wanted to add that: 0.48.3 is the version that will open the illustrator file, but should not be used as the security problem is giant. 0.48.4 contains the backported fix for the security vuln, but opens a critical bug with adobe files that required the security failure to work. 0.49 (unreleased trunk) has a fix that satisfies both issues, although inelegant.
