Hi all, Since the SSL certs for Debian/DebConf/SPI websites are only signed by SPI and not by any SSL CA that is trusted by browsers outside of Debian, we should avoid linking to https versions of Debian websites so that people not using Debian don't get errors they don't understand.
To that end, here are a pair of patches that switches from https to http links where possible: http://people.debian.org/~pabs/tmp/english.patch http://people.debian.org/~pabs/tmp/all-pages.patch Some notes: debconf6.dc.o/comas/general/proposals/* work on http but not SSL. penta.dc.o/user is 404, according to archive.org it looked similar to penta.dc.o/penta/user For these cases switching from https to http doesn't make sense so I skipped them: db.d.o: two of the links are deliberate so DDs login over SSL nm.d.o: all http URLs redirect to https buildd.d.o: all http URLs redirect to https alioth.d.o: some URLs are to login-only pages gallery.dc.o: all http URLs redirect to https penta.dc.o: parts of penta redirect http URLs to https debconf7.dc.o: the registration page redirects to https www.dc.o: the comas pages are 404 on http/https, links are on historical pages, drop the links? members.s-i.o: the webserver only listens on the SSL port -- bye, pabs http://wiki.debian.org/PaulWise -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-www-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
