Hi, as I don't expect that the WWW team tries to build the websites on Sid (or even Experimental), here's a heads up that wml 2.0.12 (which was in experimental for half a year or so) is now in unstable and as of now built on all architectures (well, except hurd).
I don't expect any impacts on webwml as 2.0.12 is mainly an (already slightly aged :-) bug fix release for 2.0.11. I didn't build the whole webwml for testing, but before every upload I built a subset thereof (actually /english/vote/ as that didn't take an eternity :-) with the to-be-uploaded package and compared it to the very same subset built on Squeeze. So far in all cases the only difference were the WML version string in the footer. Additionally I activated WML's upstream test suite at build time to enhance the quality assurance. One test failed on two buildds, but as it's the only test which used terminal capabilities (bold face) I strongly suspect that that was the reason for failing, especially because it didn't fail outside the buildds and on two unrelated architecture of which one is the one where I initially developed the package (but not the one where I run pbuilder on). I disabled that test in the last upload and it looks fine now for. So if you (still) fear that this may have an impact on some part of webwml, I'd be happy if you would build the according part with the packages from unstable and give me feedback (I'm now subscribed to the list) or directly file bug reports where something isn't fine. (And yeah, I likely should have written that part of the mail earlier.) In other news: The current WML upstream has released WML 2.2.0 (and a 2.2.1 bugfix release is due soon, too) which mainly marks the move from a classic autoconf based build system over to cmake. 2.2.x won't make it to Wheezy (also because I didn't get it to build yet :-), but I'll likely upload it to experimental somewhen after the freeze.
