Uhm, quite frankly, yes. We are also well past 1997 and we don't think of throwing away the /News/1997/ or /releases/hamm/. We could of course add the same notion to the top of the y2k page, i.e. "These pages are being retained for historical purposes", but removal of the page is not something I fancy. To some degree this feels a bit like burning books. History is something we should preserve, it helps in a lot of situations. What's your specific issue with the page which lets you file the request for removal? Yes, looking at it it seems like it haven't received proper care back then and looks kinda poor, but appart from that ...
