Hi! To fix #514658 for real and properly I plan to deactivate the redirect that happens when calling <http://packages.debian.org/> without any further argument. This will make the following page to appear: <http://packages.debian.org/index>
To not let this be a regression I plan to update the templates/html/homepage.tmpl file to match what we current have as content of <http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages>. I will try to also sync in all the translations for it that we have currently - if the translation into your language for that page isn't current see this as an invitation to update it really soon now! I can't yet give a proper timeline for when I will actually find the time to do it (potential while being offline during the week from 23rd to 29th) so feel free to discuss about it, raise your concerns or objections (with reasoning!) until next weekend and commit your updates that you want to have incorporated. Of course, like always, patches or other helpful comments about other outstanding bugs are always welcomed (please drop the bugs Cc in those cases, though).
