You can use isoinfo to get the number of blocks, then use a combination of dd and md5sum to check if the checksum matches. Something along those lines: $ isoinfo -d -i $MEDIA_DEVICE You will see two line like: Logical block size is: 2048 Volume size is: 123456 Then $ dd bs=2048 count=123456 if=$MEDIA_DEVICE |md5sum You can find more examples and scripts to do that if you look for some articles on Internet. :) Kind regards, - -- Felipe Augusto van de Wiel (faw) "Debian.
