Peter Pranter 1) sudo apt-get install "linux-headers" according to your default or customized kernel 2) sudo apt-get source fglrx 3) sudo m-a a-i fglrx To be sure to have the x-input-drivers ready: a) sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-kbd b) sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-mouse 4) sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg Have a look in the manual of your monitor(s). You need to know the horizontal sync range, the vertical refresh range and the supported resolutions of your interest. 5) sudo aticonfig --initial --resolution=0,1280x1024,1024x768,800x600,720x576,640x480 --hsync=0,30-80 --vrefresh=0,55-75 for example. Remarks: "aticonfig --initial ..." works only, if you have a clean (dpkg-reconfigured) "/etc/X11/xorg.conf". "0," before resolution etc. works on your first screen, use "1," if you want to configure your second screen. Please no claims, no reclamations.
