Hi,
As you may know, Vietnamese language has been added to the Debian
website following the release of Lenny:
http://debian.org/News/2009/20090214.vi.html
Our release announcement. :)
However, its integration to the website is not yet finished :
- The vietnamese language is not proposed at the end of webpages
webwml/english/template/debian/language.wml to be updated :
I've also updated the language bar on the front page of the wiki (and
translated that page).
-> Clytie, can you tell if "Việt" is the right vietnamese name for
the
vietnamese language ? (the string to be displayed in the page footer)
"Tiếng Việt" is now considered correct. We used to use "Việt"
instead because it was shorter, but our vocabulary is still evolving
with reference to computing and how to display information onscreen.
- http://debian.org/mirrors/webmirror#ref needs to be updated since
debian webmirrors must add "AddLanguage vi .vi".
I guess it will automatically appeard once the template is ok.
I hope so! I sent out the Release Announcement to VNOSS and our main
users lists, so I expect a big reaction.
I also hope to get time to work on more webpages and wiki pages.
