Installation hitch

Hi debian folks,

I'm trying to install debian on a Dell Dimension E310 from a recently burned net install disc, i386 Binary 1.  Strangely, during the initial phase of the installation I can use the keyboard to select from the menu, but as soon as I go to install, I lose the ability to use the keyboard when the language selection screen appears.

Can you help me trouble shoot this?
