Perhaps because it's not mentioned anywhere? http://www.debian.org/Bugs/Access suggests that one should access the Bug reports over the web (which is what I'm doing), or by mail (too slow for my purposes) or rsync the entire database (which would be overkill). Anyway, could you or someone else point me to an instruction on how to access the bts ldap interface? Google didn't find anything useful on this.
