Out of the curiosity, I think we really should add a paragraph that discourages people to use the proposed-updates. The thing with it is that any Debian Developer can upload broken packages to there, and in fact it did happen every now and then. So people should be warned that it is no good idea to use it for a stable system, only with quite some checking.
