i'm trying desperatley to install debian on a clean system from scratch. i downloaded and burnt two cds but it wont install because it thinks a package is corrupt. so i want to try network install. the "network install" www page only actually links to cd images to download. well i've already got a bootable cd. it doesnt say where to download the files from. the installation manual mutters something about "rescue.bin" but doesnt say where it is. the mirrors lists either go on and on about cd iso images which is no good or i end up at a mirror with a thousand directories. "i386" is obvious, but woody,sarge,testing... hello? heare of version numbers? which version should i download? and each of those just has a bunch of random junk in. i.e. i live in the uk can you please please just print the exact address that i need to type in to the box on the debian install screen to tell it where to get the files from??!?!?!?!?!?!!?!? e.g. "ftp.uk.debian.org/the/place/to/network/install/from/please/" or would that be too easy? cheers ric
