Some ideas: (1) The download location http://people.debian.org/~rmh/gnu/ in the "Cross Install" section was reported to me at debian-hurd to be out-of-date and another location was posted: ftp://ftp.gnuab.org/pub/gnu/. Alternatively, a reference to the crosshurd package would be appropriate, IMHO. (2) There are some places where shell examples taken over from Neal Walfield's HOWTO were cut down to the first line, making the example pointless. E.g. in the sections "Cross Install", "Other File Systems" (the MAKEDEV example) and "XFree86" (again MAKEDEV). Thanks for considering. bye, Roland -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux atari 2.6.0 #1 Wed Dec 31 16:15:56 CET 2003 i686 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_GB.UTF-8) --------------------------------------- Received: (at 226485-done) by bugs.debian.org; 28 Apr 2004 22:08:27 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Apr 28 15:08:27 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from mail.sorgfalt.net [217.160.169.191] by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1BIxEB-0004Gj-00; Wed, 28 Apr 2004 15:08:27 -0700 Received: from pd9e39503.dip.t-dialin.net ([217.227.149.3] helo=djpig.djpig.de) by mail.sorgfalt.net with asmtp (Cipher TLSv1:DES-CBC3-SHA:168) (Exim 3.35 (Sorgfalt)) id 1BIxE8-00074S-00 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Thu, 29 Apr 2004 00:08:24 +0200 Received: from djpig by djpig.djpig.de with local (Exim 3.35 #1 (Debian)) id 1BIxE5-00045F-00 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Thu, 29 Apr 2004 00:08:21 +0200 Date: Thu, 29 Apr 2004 00:08:21 +0200 From: Frank Lichtenheld <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Bug#226485: www.debian.org: Updates for http://www.de.debian.org/ports/hurd/hurd-install Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> User-Agent: Mutt/1.3.28i Sender: Frank Lichtenheld <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-5.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: X-CrossAssassin-Score: 1 On Thu, Apr 08, 2004 at 02:40:34PM +0200, Frank Lichtenheld wrote: > On Sun, Feb 29, 2004 at 01:09:12AM +0100, Frank Lichtenheld wrote: > > On Tue, Jan 06, 2004 at 09:53:21PM +0100, Roland Stigge wrote: > > > (1) The download location http://people.debian.org/~rmh/gnu/ in the > > > "Cross Install" section was reported to me at debian-hurd to be > > > out-of-date and another location was posted: > > > ftp://ftp.gnuab.org/pub/gnu/.
