I would suggest adding a link to the Debian package search at: http://www.tuxfinder.com/debian It's not quite packages.debian.org, but gives me 95% of the functionality I use on a day-to-day basis. Almost no one knows about it, and almost everyone I know is ripping their hair out because of the lack of packages.debian.org.
