It should perhaps point out that the applicant should cross-sign their signer's key. If they get accepted into Debian, this will strengthen the web-of-trust within the Debian keyring. (I know it's obvious, but people sometimes overlook it.) Adding "Remember to sign the Debian developer's key as well. Cross-signing strengthens the web of trust." to the end of the page is what I suggest, therefore. If you think this should be obvious to everyone and would waste space on the page, feel free to just close the bug. :) --------------------------------------- Received: (at 180180-done) by bugs.debian.org; 4 Oct 2003 22:04:50 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Oct 04 17:04:49 2003 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from sorgfalt.net (mail.sorgfalt.net) [217.160.169.191] by master.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1A5uW9-0001G4-00; Sat, 04 Oct 2003 17:04:49 -0500 Received: from pd9530603.dip.t-dialin.net ([217.83.6.3] helo=djpigpb) by mail.sorgfalt.net with asmtp (Exim 3.35 (Sorgfalt)) id 1A5uW7-00037t-00 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Sun, 05 Oct 2003 00:04:48 +0200 Received: from djpig by djpigpb with local (Exim 3.36 #1 (Debian)) id 1A5unl-0005Nm-00 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Sun, 05 Oct 2003 00:23:01 +0200 Date: Sun, 5 Oct 2003 00:23:00 +0200 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Added note Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.4i From: Frank Lichtenheld <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Status: No, hits=0.0 required=4.0 tests=none version=2.53-bugs.debian.org_2003_10_03 X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.53-bugs.debian.org_2003_10_03 (1.174.2.15-2003-03-30-exp) While rewriting the whole nm-step2 page I also added a note about crosssigning the developer's key.
