IMO, the "Helping with the Debian web pages" page[1] needs some more information to be helpful to all these people who submit bug reports against www.debian.org or directly mail this list.
* the TODO file is not linked directly from the "Helping..." page, only from the "How is www.debian.org made" (/desc) page, should it be given the website look-and-feel and linked from /index? * it would really help a lot of non-Debian-developer people if there was a clear breakdown of 'who' is responsible for 'what': ie, www.d.o is maintained by the debian-www@ list, bugs.d.o by the BTS team, security.d.o by the security team, ftp-master.d.o by the RM, etc. * how about a link to the debian-www list archives, or a simple FAQ? One of the most common things on this list is one-off messages from non-subscribers wishing to report a problem, saying "I don't know where is the right place to send this, but here it is." I think the world would be a better place if the top ten or so questions were already laid out so people knew what to do, eg why do you let spammers harvest addresses from the list archives?, the Elbonian web mirror is broken, who do I complain to?, I've seen illegal use of your logo/code/chicken soup recipe on the Internet, how do I dob them in? and so forth. Well I'd like to meet him. I could do with a good laugh."
