Did you read the following: <http://www.debian.org/mirrors/webmirror#how>? If you sync directly from your debian account you might miss things that are done over that rsync daemon. I guess that ::web.debian.org provides different/additional data than just /org/www.debian.org/www/ on gluck. Also I might guess they are provided through an apache Alias on gluck (not on the mirrors).
