G'day, I thought I would check up how the debbar.pl perl script is going. For those who don't know, it is the script that makes those blue Debian buttons on the website.
For some time now, you have to run the gimp perl server or it just doesn't work at all, so I changed the text in makebuttons.sh to say that. Other than that point, it works fine. I was using gimp1.1-perl package and it works out of the box. Incidently, I had a look around about using PNG files instead of GIFs. PNGs support alpha channels (clear bits) but most browsers do not.
