Sounds like a good idea. And perhaps change the "Debian Project" text on the logotype to something translateable (slices) at the same time? (And, remove the "[Debian logo]" text for the logo, which is quite stupid when it shows up in Lynx/w3m). Speaking of Linuxisms, the front page speaks of both Linux and Hurd, while intro/about only talks about Linux.
