The solution to multiple copies of the email address would be to mangle it upon receipt of the bug, processing that input if you like, before it is copied and multiplied. Is debbugs actively being developed and extended? Do you think they would be interested to implement email address mangling? I can submit a bug if they are are interested in doing this.
