On the robot dog front, I think I'm lots more impressed by women
such as Manuela Veloso [0], who's largely responsible for CMU's
amazing contributions to RoboCUP over the years. She's also
advised lots of students doing work in a broad range of computing
topics, and is generally pretty cool. (She was the advisor of one
of Harvey Mudd's four women faculty (out of a total of 10.)

That said, positive press about women doing anything with
technology is a good thing. I'll take cute robot dog stories over
``I'm afraid to download music, I might crash the national grid!''
stories any day.
